The Centre d'assistance et d'accompagnement aux plaintes - Laval is now over 15 years old. All those years have enabled us to offer services ever better known by the population and strengthen the organizational structure, as well as our operation.
Here is in brief the development of our organization since its beginning:
February 94 : A Provisional Council was set up by the Comité des organismes sociaux de Laval (COSL) in order to evaluate the needs, identify appropriate means to different situations and establish a permanent structure that will adequately meet the mandate. The Council created a temporary reception service to meet the user demand.
April - May 94 : The opening of a temporary office at 4, Place Laval. The setting up of a reception service for all Laval health and social services’ users. The organization began its operation in May 1994 under the management of Mr. Jean Bélair.
September 94 : It obtains its letters patent. The legal name is:
Organisme d'assistance et d'accompagnement de Laval.
November 94 : Opening of a permanent office at 674, boulevard des Laurentides, Laval.
February 95 : Foundation general assembly. Founding of the permanent Board of Directors. Seven (7) members were elected.
December 95 : Official appointment of the organization by the Minister J.Rochon.
April 99 : Notice confirming the new legal name:

June 02 : The office moves in its new premises at 672, boulevard des Laurentides, suite 217.
May 10 : The CAAP – Laval celebrates its 15th founding anniversary.
